The Salvation Army, the Red Cross, Hospice, the March of Dimes, the United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Doctors Care, Meals on Wheels... the list is extensive and the opportunities for involvement are limitless. | |||
| The people of the Tri-State area care about others, as shown by their response of aid to flood victims or in their gifts to Operation Christmas Child. Numerous volunteers man the desks at the local hospitals and the red cross, while others construct homes for Habitat. Still others provide emergency services. | |||
Social
| The Tri-State area is host to numerous organizations from MU campus Greek chapters to Rotary, Kiwanis, Elks, Lions, Knights of Columbus, VFW, Masons, and Eastern Star. | |||
| There are active scouting programs, 4H clubs, dance and gymnastic classes, aerobic programs, karate classes, Bingo games, art and drama groups, YMCA events and a wide range of other groups for all ages. |
